Berry Scores Comfortable Win On Bible Belt

Putting her first score on the board, Bible Belt, with the guidance of jockey Fran Berry, gave an impressive performance with a comfortable victory in the opening event at Roscommon, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden.

Fran Berry and his mount went into battle with the front running Emerald Ring, putting out the challenge entering the straight, to hit the lead two furlongs from home, staying on strongly, easily defeating runner up Sikara to record a five length victory.

“I was very worried about the ground and nearly took her out this morning,” said winning trainer Jessica Harrington.

“She didn’t really like it and down the back he was niggling her a bit.”

“She might run again later in the season over a mile. We’ll see what the ground is like. It’s great to see them in good form still.”
