Best Value Tips Review

This is a review of Best Value Tips, a betting information website. The site owners recommend two types of betting, stop at a winner and level stakes betting.

The recommendation is to aim for £50 per ‘string’ of bets with a stop loss set at £300 in any one string, or level stakes betting on each selection. The recommendation is to use betfair sp for all bets. The ability to place your bets throughout the day is essential if following the ‘stop at a winner’ staking.

Subscription to Best Value Tips  is £39.99 per month and selections are e-mailed to you each day in the mornings just before lunch, with up to five daily tips.

I will be reviewing the selections for a period of 45 days. To keep it in line with previous reviews I will be basing it on level stakes of £10 per bet and also on a target of £10 per string when following the ‘stop at a winner’ staking, giving a slightly more palatable exposure of a maximum of £60 in each string of bets.  All profits quoted will include the deduction of 5% betfair commission. Also I will state daily profits at the end of each ‘string’ for stop at a winner and for every selection on the level stakes betting.

So how did the Best Value Tips service get on….?

You’ll need to be able to access betfair during the day if you want to emulate their prices and its down to your persoanl choice which system you choose to follow. The stop at a winner was less profitable over the course of the trial but provided less severe ups and downs, whereas the level stakes was rather more profitable but provided a rather more roller coaster effect. It rather depends on your skills with betfair and your attitude to risk as to which technique you choose to follow.

Best Value Tips providers seem to be ‘straight up’ people and respond to any queries promptly and efficiently which is very reassuring. The results they quote on the website are also very accurate so you can see for yourself what you are investing in.

 After 45 days of a roller coaster ride we finally end at a good profit whichever system you use.  Just over £100 on the stop at a winner and over £200 for level stakes. This doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story for Best Value Tips though! We reached +£210 and +£350 after just 13 days on the trial and I thought this is fantastic. Then the inevitable losing runs occurred and we didn’t see this level of profit again until after 39 days where we managed a touch over £210 and £386 respectively, followed by ending losing run which rather depleted the winnings.

I still rather like Best Value Tips though as after the initial good run we were never showing a loss at any point and few systems or tipsters can say that in their literature. If we had started at a different time then the story may have been different but there lies the nature of short trials.

I am not sure I could follow this at level stakes of £100 a go though, as a losing run of 17 and a couple of others in the teens would have tested the mettle of many system followers. Having said that if Best Value Tips continues to perform as they quote on their website then it is entirely conceivable that you could  build your betting bank sufficently to enable you to invest at these higher levels with some degree of confidence.

I for one will be following this in the future to see how it fares over a longer period and at just £40 a month it is a reasonable price for what you would be getting. Well worthy in my opinion of 3.5 out of 5 rating. Easy to use (on the level stakes at least) and reasonably profitable, with enough winners on a regular enough basis to keep me comfortable.

As this is the final day of the trial the stop at a winner run currently stands at a loss of £37.65 which may have been recovered with an early winner on the next day, although it could also easily turn into a losing series with an even greater loss, so in the interests of fairness and for comparison I will deduct it from the running total leaving the stop at a winner total as + £104.20.
