Betting Systems That Don’t Work
Last time we talked about the one infallible betting system ever invented – The Martingale System. However, although infallible in theory it is pretty much common sense to see that in reality the Martingale System just won’t work because of betting limits set by casinos and more importantly set by our pockets.
With all the betting systems out there, there surely are other systems being touted that really just won’t work the way they promise they would. Here are two such systems that obviously just won’t work. It sometimes is a wonder that people even think of inventing bogus betting systems like these. But of greater wonder to me is how many people fall for them.
The O’Hare Straddle
The O’Hare Straddle is a very simple betting system that anyone, even absolutely clueless people, can learn in just one sitting. In this betting system all you need to do is to borrow a huge amount of money on a short-term basis. Now all you need to do is pocket half of the money you loaned and bet the remaining half on just one spin of the roulette wheel at even money. It may sound crazy but if you do this and win you will have enough money to pay off the loan you made and still be left with the money you pocketed, which is half the original loan. The consequence though if you lose is that you’ll end up with only half the money you loaned with no ability to pay. So what the O’Hare Straddle suggests is you take the money you pocketed and use it to get comfortable in some foreign country in South America! This is obviously a system that would work only for thick-skinned unscrupulous individuals. The chances that you’ll win on a single bet after all is a lot slimmer than losing so that planning to use this system is almost equivalent to planning to scam whoever you got the money from.
Collecting Statistics on a Lottery Number
The big daydream of many people is to win the lottery. Everyone knows though that with the lottery every time you bet your chances of winning are the same as everyone else and that lottery is a game of pure chance. Lottery numbers are after all selected by drawing balls from a container wherein the balls are mixed before each number is drawn. Unless a lottery draw is rigged there is just no way at all to predict which ball or number will be drawn next, least of all predict the winning combination. Some people however still believe that by “collecting statistics” on the recently drawn numbers they can predict which numbers will have a greater chance of being drawn next. They simply find the numbers that have been drawn most frequently and use those numbers and combine them to hopefully come up with the next draw’s winning combination. This strategy unfortunately just won’t work. Lottery draws are completely random and it was just chance that those numbers appeared frequently for the past several draws. Just choose a random combination when buying a lottery ticket since all of the possible combinations simply have an equal chance of winning for each draw.
Where To Find Betting Systems That DO Work
After telling you about some of the betting systems that most definitely don’t work, I wanted to give a quick mention to a website I write for called Horse-Racing.ie. Along with a good friend of mine called Craig Anderson, a highly experienced system analyst, we set up this site to inform people on what does and what doesn’t work in the betting scene. We review betting products and test different betting systems and then report back on the pros and cons of each product. You should drop by Horse-Racing.ie when you get the chance as we’ve got some interesting stuff on there now – some of it very lucrative too!
