Chase Debut Victory for Finish

The Eoin Doyle trained For A Finish powered for the line on the run in to score a victorious début over fences in the Kinnegad Beginners Steeplechase at Kilbeggan, under the guidance of jockey Paul Townend.

Townend got his mount into second in the final furlong to challenge for the lead in the final stages, to defeat runner up Mulberry Boy by half a length.

“He’s going to be a grand staying chaser. He was on his head the whole way. He needs further and a galloping track,” said Eoin Doyle the winning trainer.

“It was his first run over fences and he jumped a little bit carefully but it’s an easy place to start them off over fences.

“He might go to Listowel and we’ll look for something over a little bit further for him.”
