Daily analysis – Friday 14th

Apologies for the minimal amount of work offered as I have an early hospital appoint – best of luck guys!

1.50 (Group 3 Sceptre Stakes): Three-year-olds have won 14/16 renewals in recent times, whilst seven renewals have slipped by since the last favourite prevailed during which time, gold medallists at 25/1, 22/1, 14/1, 11/1, 8/1 have emerged.

2.25 (Group 2 ‘Flying Childers’): Five favourites have prevailed during the last eleven years, whilst nine of those winners scored at a top price of 8/1.

3.00 (Mallard Handicap): Three-year-olds have a fine record in this contest and yet the only vintage representative last year was Time To Study representing Mark Johnston’s shrewd yard which won at 11/8*.  Layers/players have just about shared the spoils during the last eleven years with four market leaders having won alongside four gold medallists who have prevailed at odds ranging between 10/1 and 20/1.

3.35 (Group 2 Doncaster Cup): The biggest priced winner during the last eleven years was returned at just 11/2, whilst five favourites obliged during the period.

4.05 (Listed ‘Flying Scotsman’ Stakes): Favourites have won six of the last nine contests, whilst the highest numbered stall to accommodate every winner during the last eleven years was ‘trap five’.
