Dodgy Favourites
Right, here we have the latest pennings from the much slated Paul Fowlie. I figured that we should give all his stuff a try as this is the last system he’s writing for some time.
Paul sent me the system a couple of weeks back now and I’ve got to admit, on first read through I did think he’d got the system wrong. Without giving too much away, I thought he’d meant this system as a backing system rather than a laying one. However, I read it again a couple of times, and it slowly began to make sense. I totally see the logic in this one, it’s plain for all to see and I really think this may be a top little system.
As most will know, Paul has taking a right hammering on here in the past, but I really have to give credit where it’s due. He has listened to a lot of the critisisms levelled at him regarding using SP, etc. and has reported this system at realistic Betfair prices. In fact, he is using GHB to place his bets and has set it at 420 seconds before the off. Personally, I like my bets a lot closer to the off, but at least Paul’s results are realistic and should be easily achievable by the masses.
In typical Paul fashion, Dodgy Favourites get’s straight to the point, bypassing any unnecesarry waffle and concentrating directly on the system itself, all in a satisfyingly short four pages.
Most of the selections will be at the bottom end of the market, so liabilities should be manageable without having a crash cart on standby or 999 on speed dial
The cut off point for a selection is 7/1, but again we should rarely reach those dizzy heights.
I’ll use a nominal £2000 bank and use £20 bets.

Conclusion
So, we’ve come to the end of the Dodgy Favourites trial and I’ve got to say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.
My first read of Dodgy Favourites left me a little dumbfounded. I thought I’d got it wrong and Dodgy Favourites was actually a backing system, but after a second read I could see where Paul was going with it and it began to dawn on me that this actually might be a top system. To make the picks requires a bit of card trawling, but nothing too serious. I’d suggest around 30 – 45 minutes should be enough and it’s possible to get your picks the evening before racing. The information you require comes courtesy of the Racing Post which, as we all know, has gone through somewhat of a transition lately. Still, the info we require for Dodgy Favourites is easy enough to glean. I’d think novices may require a little practice, but Paul offers a well priced tipping service that could be put to good use double checking your picks for the first month.
The trial ended with a respectable 15 point profit, but it could have been more like 22 points bar a couple of bad days over the festive period, since which selections have been few and far between. However, one of the things I like about Dodgy Favourites is the selectivity of it, in fact with the poor climatic conditions of late, there have only been six bets since the turn of the year. Part of being successful in this game is only betting when the conditions are right, and Dodgy Favourites will make sure you adhere to this.
So, from an HR.ie point of view, Dodgy Favourites gets a resounding round of applause. I am a big fan of this one and it is another to be added to my bulging portfolio of laying systems. Thank God for tipping lines…
