ITBA Fillies Scheme EBF Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase (Grade 3) Preview

The second of the big mares races at Limerick on Sunday looks a much more competitive affair with at least half the field holding genuine form chances. Tally Em Up arguably sets the standard in these type of events at present and carries a penalty here as a result of previous victories. Although well beaten in Thurles last time she was up in grade and returned to race against her own sex here she is the one to beat.

Shuil Aris needed all of Ruby Walsh’s persuasion to get up on the line at Fairyhouse latest. Her form ties in well with Tally Em Up and Cara Mara and Inistioge. On recent form there is little to choose between the quartet and it is likely to come down to which is at her peak on the day.

At the prices Cara Mara looks the one to be one with an each-way bet the suggestion. John Berrys mare had a few of these behind when impressing at Fairyhouse but has been below par on her last two outings. If anywhere near her best on Sunday she will at least make the frame.
