Before closing, I should make the point that although Richard Fahey’s recent strike rate is nothing to write home about, his 11/68 stats in April have produced 33 points of level stake profits, his last two winners having scored at 25/1 & 16/1.  Richard saddles six runners today: Major Cornwallis (2.40 Wolverhampton), Abiento (3.10 Wolverhampton), Grandad’s World (3.45 Redcar), Miss Goldsmith (3.45 Wolverhampton), Gin In The Inn (4.55 Redcar) & Scotch Mist (6.00 Redcar).  For the record, Richard was the top trainer at Redcar last season via stats of 13/75, winners which accrued level stake profits of 26 points.

Other trainers worth noting from Redcar in 2016 with runners today:

10/55 (+8) Michael Dods – 2 runners: Mininggold (2.05) & Ninepin Bowler (2.35)

Ian Jardine won with three of his first ten runners at the track last year(7/1, 13/2 & 4/1) – 3 runners: Eastern Dragon (4.20) & Dizoard & Mr Globetrotter (5.30)

Two of the first five runners saddled by Mark Johnston at Redcar last season won at 8/1 & 6/5* – One 12/1 chance there today: Highly Sprung (3.45)

Be lucky but as ever – be aware!
