Mal Boyle Stats – Saturday 12th

Friday’s school report:

I apologise for yesterday’s scenario which forced yours truly into the hands of medics once again who have strongly advised that I take as much rest as possible.

For once I am going to take that advice but as you might detect from my having sent a Twitter message just after three o’clock this morning, I am not ‘downing tools’ entirely!

The ‘timeline’ below sets out what will become a familiar schedule until York on Wednesday when I hope to be back in ‘full swing’!

Thankfully, four of the MMA horses offered yesterday did as they were told by winning at 11/1 (returned at the same price) – 10/1 (7/1) – 11/2 (4/1) – 11/2 (SP) having offered the newcomer at 3/1…..

Enjoy a great weekend guys, though mine is going to be very quiet and ‘restful’!  I will be reading up a great deal relating to the World Cup work which will start properly on the first day of the tournament; Thursday June 14th which will hopefully prove to be good timing when I will be ready for the onslaught of matches, notwithstanding Royal Ascot’s meeting which starts the following week.

Being a good ‘boy scout’, readers who have been with us for a good few months now will recall that I conducted a lot of the spadework for the racing period during the entire ‘World Cup month’ several weeks ago which proves once again, that it pays to be ahead of the game!

Sincere thanks for your kind messages – hoping that we can continue the good work from the last few days…..

*Point of interest: I can only detect one trainer who secured a double at any of the corresponding meetings last year who has runners at the same venue today.  Richard Fahey secured a 10/1 double at Thirsk last year and the trainer saddles two double figure priced runners there this evening; namely Mustaqeem (6.45) & Cameo Star (7.15).  Small wagers could prove worthwhile if results have not gone your way earlier in the day.
