Mal Boyle Stats – Sunday 26th

Includes detailed analysis of Saturday’s offerings on a day which did not quite live up to Friday – as pointed out by several readers!

SUNDAY’S IN FORM TRAINERS INCLUDE (Minimum of 25% strike rate required and/or exceptional current level stake profit):

6/13–Anthony Honeyball (+19) – 1 at Uttoxeter: Mozo (1.45)

5/14–Harry Whittington (+12) – 1 at Uttoxeter: Zephyros Bleu (2.15)

5/18–Paul Nicholls – 1 at Exeter: Brelan D’As (2.55)

5/18–Nigel Twiston-Davies (+25) – 3 at Uttoxeter: Wood Yer (2.15), Twist On Ginge (3.15) & One Forty seven (3.45)

4/12–Donald McCain (+11) – 1 at Exeter: Ubaltique (2.55)

7 horses in race order:

1.45: Mozo

2.15: Zephyros Bleu & Wood Yer

2.55: Ubaltique & Brelan D’As

3.15: Twist On Ginge

3.45: One Forty Seven

SUNDAY’S STAT ATTACK (Five year stats unless indicated):

EXETER:

35 races – 9 winning favourites – 33/35 winners scored at a top price of 10/1

Average Placepot dividend: £198.04

Highest dividend: £544.40 (2013) – Lowest dividend: £52.70 (2015)

Leading trainer at the corresponding meeting during the study period:

5 winners—Philip Hobbs (11/2*, 4/1, 11/4, 11/8* & 8/11*) – 1 runner today:

Keep Moving (2.55)

Trainers who saddled more than one winner on any relevant day during the study period:

2016: Evan Williams (22/1 double) – 1 runner: Abbeygrey (1.25)

2015: Philip Hobbs (8/1 double)

2014: Philip Hobbs (15/2 double)

UTTOXETER:

32 races – 12 winning favourites – 29/32 winners scored at a top price of 12/1

Average Placepot dividend: £66.02

Highest dividend: £128.80 (2015) – Lowest dividend: £21.40 (2013)

Leading trainer at the corresponding meeting during the study period:

2 winners—Neil King (8/13* & 1/3*) – 2 runners today: Marienstar (1.45) & Zeroshadesofgrey (2.45)

Neil is one of only three trainers who has saddled more than one winner at the corresponding meeting and is the lone represented handler on Sunday.  Indeed, 27 different trainers have saddled winners via the 32 winners during the study period.  This is nothing unusual for Uttoxeter which like Market Rasen as a venue, rarely offers really positive stats for individual trainers.

MORNING MARKET ASSESSMENT (at 7.50)

EXETER:

12.55: Moonlight Flyer – 7/1 (Betfair/PP)

1.25: Quinto – 15/2 (Betbright)

2.25: Dual At Dawn – 9/2 (365/Ladbrokes/BetVictor)

2.55: Keep Moving – 5/1 (Ladbrokes/Coral/BetVictor)

UTTOXETER:

2.15: Bears Rails – 15/2 (Marathon)

NAVAN (Advice is too play  tovery small stakes as I cannot pretend to be a follower of Irish racing at all – something I will work on this winter):

2.05: Tycoon Prince – 7/1 (Betfair & PP)

2.35: Don’t Tell No One – 14/1 (365/Ladbrokes/Coral)

People are difficult to please, especially when it was always going to be hard to replicate Friday phenomenal results!

Yesterday’s 22 Morning Market options offered the following results, baring in mind that every horse at some stage had a distinct option of being laid off, especially the one outstanding offering which was backed down from 25/1 to 9/2, as highlighted as my first notion before most people had opened their eyes for the weekend sport!

Winners at 9/1 – 6/1 – 3/1 were not enough to please everyone it seems, whilst I could point out that four horses at 16/1, 14/1, 9/1 & 7/1 finished second!

The in form trainer sector offered five winners at 10/1, 8/1, 6/1, 6/1 & 13/8, albeit I freely admit this offered an extremely minor loss on the day to level stakes.

Be lucky of course but as ever: Continue to be aware!
