TWO YEAR OLD NOTES (20/1 & 10/11 winners nominated yesterday!)

1.20 Newbury:

Almurr was the subject of some market activity overnight and there was plenty to like about Brian Meehan’s Dandy Man representative when beaten less than three lengths on debut at Leicester.  Confiding has been pleasing connections back at Martin Meade’s ranch.

1.40 Nottingham:

My best news of the newcomers surrounds Superseeded and Autumn Splendour, whilst Henry Candy believes there could be a race in Alfred Boucher though personally, I expect the previous pair mentioned in dispatches will prove to be the pick at this stage of the season.

2.30 Yarmouth:

Set your recorder for this event as plenty of future winners are in the offing I’ll wager.  Across The Sea might need a little more time, whereas Swiss Air and (particularly) Assembly Of Truth should be ready today.  Kareena Kapoor and Elsaabiqaat are other potential winners during the coming months.

7.25 Haydock:

Certain Lad was pulled out of a race because of ground conditions the other day and the tip should be worth taking. That said, Hugo Palmer said of Dombra back in the spring; “If he turned out to be a future Ascot winner, it wouldn’t surprise me”.

WORLD CUP SERVICE:

RUSSIA V SAUDI – 4pm Kick off

Opinion: If Saudi Arabia can keep the Russians from scoring in the first half an hour, the home team will start coming under pressure from their fans.  The draw at what should be around 15/8 at 4.30 (ish) would then become a potential punt, albeit to moderate stakes.

Markets: Since displaying the odds on Tuesday – the prices to retract include Saudi to with the match (to a fashion) and the Russia/Russia double result which has been backed from 13/10 to 5/4 with Ladbrokes.  Russia to be leading at half time has been popular too from 11/10 into 21/20 in general terms.
