Mal Boyle stats – Thursday 19th

As suggested on my Twitter page this morning, a 10/1 chance today has caught the eye – for more than one reason.  By the by, I note that BetVictor & Stan James have the horse in at 14/1 at the time of writing….

Richard Fahey saddles three runners today and many eyes will focus on his two raiders at Meydan, which might prove beneficial.

My eyes are drawn towards the 7.00 event at Chelmsford however, where Richard saddled his handicap debutant Whatelseaboutyou.

Richard’s Canford Cliffs filly was mentioned in despatches after making his British debut at just the second time of asking when looking as though she needed a longer trip.

The thick end of a quarter of a mile has been added this time around and though the trade press (rightly) suggests that money for the horse could prove interesting, it’s worth noting that the trainer has already struck with a 25/1 chance at the venue this season, whereby all hope is not lost, even if the speculative punt drifts like the proverbial barge.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that Richard secured a 152/1 double on the corresponding card twelve months ago and yes, Whatelseaboutyou is his only runner in the UK today.

Best of luck if you play, even from a small stake/saver perspective.
