Mal Boyle Stats – Thursday 24th

Wednesday’s school report:

Back to normal (whatever that is!) today after finding five winners yesterday via ten options posted for you via the depleted MMA service.  We made a profit on the day which is the main thing…..

My Two-year-old service suggested that yesterday’s Yarmouth event was something special seven hours before the race was contested but as usual, it took the other media commentators until after the race to offer such words!

I highlighted Dan Skelton’s three runners at Warwick which brought about an 11/1 double.  For the record, Dan has now saddled nine of his last 26 runners to winning effect – The stable takes a rest today before launching an attack on Worcester tomorrow.  The advice is the same as ever – always be ahead of the game.

  • POINT OF ORDER – Plenty of rain on the horizon via the latest radar images which will probably affect Lingfield and Sandown (possibly Goodwood) more than most.  Certainly given the timing of Sandown’s evening card suggests that the “good to firm” call overnight will probably not be in evidence and if anything, good to soft might be the order of the day – we’ll see.  I will try to keep you posted…

TWO-YEAR-OLD NOTES  (plenty of winners already including a 16/1 chance):

1.30 Goodwood:

All four horses should pay their way this season:

Jamie Oliver thinks a lot of Mememto who is a Sea The Stars representative who “gets plenty of speed” from the dam Wizz Kid – “A real quality horse and very mature”.

Pirate is rated as a very strong sort (albeit not overly big) by trainer Richard Hannon – “Has enough speed for the minimum trip” – but this easy six should suit ideally.

Siam Dawn (Simon Crisford) – “He’ll be ready to do himself justice when the six furlong races start”.

Mutawaffer – Charlie Hills suggested that “he is very sharp and going to be quick” before his debut in which he did little wrong – a very short price this morning though…

‘National Stakes’ (6.35 Sandown):

There are plenty of potentials stars on offer here as we have come to expect in this event but the value might lie in KInks (Mick Channon) & Artair (Michael Bell) who are both on offer at around the 7/1 mark. Both horses were ‘talked up’ by their trainers earlier in the year and have already posted three victories between them.  Small stakes recommended if you getting involved given the quality on show of so many of the contenders.
