It’s not often that I focus on jockeys because as the man said yesterday, “you are only as good as your booked rides” – but Brian Hughes was in sublime form yesterday riding five winners, the other pair finishing second, beaten less than an aggregate of two and a half lengths!

It would be churlish in the extreme to ignore a jockey riding with so much confidence – 4 today at Southwell: Houndscourt (12.45), Camachoice (1.45), Hi Tide (3.15) & Searching For Gold (3.45).

The good thing about following a jockey as opposed to trainers of course – is that they can’t have two in one race!

Be lucky but also – be aware.
