Mal Boyle Stats – Tuesday 17th

Monday’s school report:

As ‘Twittered’ yesterday:

Last Wednesday I gave solid reasons why a horse running at Windsor on Monday would win – returned at 11/4, ICART POINT WON (available at 11/2 early morning) – to tip a winner this early five days before the race isn’t bad at this time of the season – or at any time of the season come to that!

Other MMA WINNERS at 8/1 and 9/2 offered another profit on the day, notwithstanding a 14/1 winner for in form trainer Nick Alexander.  Two of the three highlighted runners for Mick Channon won, completing a 10/1 double for the popular trainer.

POSTED LAST WEDNESDAY – NEXT WEEK’S CRAVEN MEETING  AT NEWMARKET AND NEWBURY’S SPRING MEETING ON FRIDAY/SATURDAY:

If the weather allows, I’ll wager that John Gosden will start the ‘real season’ off in grand style, as we have come to expect down the years.

John saddled six winners at the Craven meeting last year, notching a 9/1 double on the Tuesday, a terrific 496/1 treble on the Wednesday (12/1 – 15/2 – 7/2**) and a lone (successful) 5/2 favourite on the last day.

The popular trainer then travelled on to Newbury where he bagged five winners.  Going back further in time however, we find that John has saddled 17 winners at the Friday/Saturday meeting at the Berkshire venue during the last four (five) years (meeting abandoned in 2016)!  Yes it’s warming up nicely or at least, it should be by this time next week!

Update: It’s “warmed up” by a degree or two (much improvement to come soon hopefully), whilst John Gosden’s four runners at Newmarket today can be found on the relevant Stat Attack column above.
