Mal Boyle Stats – Tuesday 29th

Monday’s school report:

It’s good to be back, even though today’s racing is not of the highest order.

Six winners at 8/1 (returned at 5/1), 15/2 (9/2), 5/1 (4/1), 9/2 (5/2), 7/2 (11/4) & 10/3 (15/8) and six seconds on Saturday via the last MMA service and obviously with a little more luck in running, it could have been another golden day. As it was, that many winners via seven meetings on the day was acceptable – at least in my eyes – welcome back!

TWO YEAR OLD NOTES:

1.50 Leicester:

Ballistic looks to have a chance of building on a half decent effort at the first time of asking in this grade/company.

2.00 Redcar:

I’m not saying that she will win on debut but Keith Dalgleish is enthusiastic about the career of Beechwood Izzy who “gets her up and just gets on with it”.

2.10 Lingfield (A/W):

Although incurring a four pound penalty for a game win at Windsor on her first day at school, Gypsy Spirit should not be ignored.  Other decent types look to include Repulse Bay (Ralph Beckett was talking her up the other day) and My Babydoll who according to Richard Hannon “does everything easily – sharp as well”.

3.50 Leicester:

Glorious Dane is the two-year-old horse of the day from my viewpoint, albeit it might be another day that Richard Hannon’s raider gets off the mark – we shall see!  Richard Hannon was waxing lyrical about his Olympic Glory colt, though rather more from ‘what fun we’re going to have’ than aiming for the stars, at this stage of his career anyway.  There is a half decent experienced runner (Fanaar) in the race to overcome for starters, whilst a stat which is not generally known is that Sir Michael Stoute has saddled more juvenile winners at Leicester than at any other track in the land.  Alnasherat is Michael’s newcomer in the contest.

6.40 Wolverhampton (A/W)

It’s quite late in the day for these youngsters to be up and running (taking the journey home into account – minimum stakes advised accordingly) and with a juvenile winner already to his name, Simon Crisford is taken as the trainer who might be celebrating having declared Sporting Chance tonight with his Kodiac colt attracting money ‘early doors’ this morning.
