I don’t ‘invent’ potential market movers which is proven today by the lack of numbers involved.  Plenty of two-year-old races are responsible at Newmarket where bookmakers are ‘frightened’ to show their hand at this stage of proceedings – I will report back mid-morning (around 9.30 hopefully)….

NEWMARKET:

4.40: Courtside – 8/1 (Ladbrokes/PP)

SEDGEFIELD:

None as yet….

WORCESTER:

2.10: Billy My Boy – 14/1 (Skybet)

2.45: Pickamix – 11/4 (Skybet)

KEMPTON:

8.20: Mandarin – 16/1 Bet365/Skybet)

8.50: Lady Kaviar – 9/2 (Bet365)

9.20: Nouvelle Ere – 16/1 (Bet365)

I promised some stats and facts relating to Cheltenham’s first (two day) meeting of the season this week:

Only six ‘headline trainers’ secured level stake profits last year at Prestbury Park:

7/47–Willie Mullins (+11)

6/37–Gordon Elliott (+36)

4/27–Fergal O’Brien (+5)

4/39–Jonjo O’Neill (+15)

2/17–Charlie Longsdon (+1)

1/19–Rebecca Curtis (+2)

Five trainers have recorded level stake profits at the track during the last five years.  You will note that the two trainers to have secured ticks in both (one year and five year) boxes have been highlighted in bold print.

38/333–Paul Nicholls (+2)

22/193–David Pipe (+2)

12/91–Fergal O’Brien (+34)

12/102–Gordon Elliott (+16)

7/82–Evan Williams (+2)

I will offer these stats again tomorrow morning with details of their respective (potential) entries for Friday/Saturday for your convenience.

Be lucky of course but as ever – Be aware!
