The ‘one for Wednesday’ mentioned on my Twitter page earlier Tuesday is Me Too Nagasaki (3.10 Goodwood) – on offer at 2/1 generally this morning – as short as 13/8 with Paddy Power.

Jeremy Noseda is by far the most successful trainer at this corresponding meeting with five winners during the last five years, all of which were well backed at 4/1**, 7/2, 3/1, 6/4* & 4/5*.

Jeremy had just two entries for the meeting at the weekend but now relies on my selection.

James Doyle has ridden two of his six mounts for the stable this season to winning effect.  Jeremy has saddled 24 winners during the last two years during the months of September & October.

Only the step up in trip is a negative from my viewpoint, given that Me Too Nagasaki is well suited to soft ground.

GOODWOOD FIVE YEAR STUDY OF THIS CORRESPONDING MEETING:

36 races – 18 winning favourites – 33/36 winners scored at a top price of 10/1 – 32/36 winners score at 7/1 or less – Really impressive favourite stats and generally well backed horses during the period.

Average Placepot dividend: £85.68

Highest dividend: £331.90 (2015) – Lowest dividend: £8.20 (2012)

PERTH DETAILS FROM LAST YEAR FOR THEIR TWO DAY MEETING:

Although only five favourites obliged via 14 races, every winner scored at odds of 10/1 or less, with 12/14 gold medallists being returned at a top price of 13/2.

Fergal O’Brien saddled a couple of winners but is not represented today, albeit he has two possible representatives tomorrow.

That said, Nigel Twsiton-Davies led the way with winners at 13/2, 2/1 & 4/7* – Nigel has declared three runners this afternoon; Arctic Gold (4.00), Woodfort (4.30) and Ballypoint (5.05), with seven more under consideration for tomorrow before Thursday’s decs are due to be known later this morning.

Be lucky of course but as ever – Be aware!
