Introduction to Ballinrobe Racecourse
The only racecourse in County Mayo, Ballinrobe has been racing since 1774, and at the current venue since 1921.
Ballinrobe stages both National Hunt and Flat meetings, and is located just outside the town centre (see below).

Ballinrobe Racecourse
The track is a slightly elevated right-handed oval of about a mile and an eighth, which hosts both competitive flat and National Hunt (jump) racing.

By Rail: The closest station is Claremorris (21 km) from where there is a bus service.
By Air: The closest airports are Galway (56 km) and Knock (48 km) with regular flights from Dublin and many locations in the U.K. Helicopter landing can be arranged at the course.
