Introduction to Galway Racecourse

Galway racecourse, in the far, far west of Ireland is famed mostly for it’s summer festival at the end of July. It is a seven racing marathon, and diehard horse fans attend in their thousands each day.

The colour and atmosphere are rarely matched on an Irish racecourse anywhere else during the year.

Refreshment Facilities

The new state of the art Killanin Stand built in 2007 provides food outlets on the ground and first floor with corporate hospitality on the second and third floors.

In the impressive Millenium Stand there is a Panoramic restaurant on the top floor and food facilities on all three floors including a seafood and wine bar on the first floor.

The spacious Long Bar on the ground floor also serves hot drinks. During the festival there are Budweiser and Guinness & Oyster bars.

There are two champagne tents in the Mayor’s Garden area and adjacent to the main Tote Building. In the amenity building there is a buffet and carvery restaurant.

There are two ATM Bank machines to the rear of the Millenium Stand.

The whole course is wheelchair friendly with a special disabled viewing stand adjacent to the stewards stand and the parade ring. Disabled toilets are provided.

Corporate Facilities

The Galway races ‘Hospitality Village’ offers a choice of packages.

The ‘Blazers Pavilion’ caters for groups of up to ten people and includes four course gourmet meal, champagne reception, complimentary bar, and CCTV monitoring.

The ‘Blazers Private Suites’ caters for 50 or more people and includes a five-course meal, champagne reception, complimentary bar and CCTV monitoring.

The Panoramic restaurant on the top floor of the Millenium Stand also provides an ideal forum for corporate entertainment, catering for tables of ten, providing top-class food in a luxury air-conditioned environment.
