Introduction to Listowel Racecourse
Listowel Festival is now the joint longest racing festival in Ireland, at seven days it is the same as the Galway races, and second in attendances only to that great event. Also, it is the last big festival of the year so people make the most of it. This is reflected with sky high attendances of 200,000 people at what was once a small festival for farmers after harvest, which has now grown into so much more.
