Now that the Doncaster St Leger Festival is nearly behind us, we now move onto what should be an incredible week of action in Britain and Ireland. Listowel’s Harvest Festival gets under way on Sunday and that is always a very popular week for the people of Ireland. 2nd: Hands On (3)
Nurburgring really impressed on his hurdling debut when seeing off 12 other rivals at Killarney last month, and Joseph O’Brien’s son of Zoffany could prove hard to beat again in what isn’t the strongest of openers. The biggest danger could be Enda Bolger’s newcomer Hands On, who sports the familiar colours of JP McManus. If any market support came for this horse, it could be quite significant and he may well be a decent animal.

2nd: Great Bear (5)
The Gordon Elliott runner Riann is the one to side with in this fascinating novice chase. The gelding looked really good when bolting up at Wexford in August on what was just his first start over fences. Connections must be delighted with that run and he can move on to bigger and better things now. Great Bear, who was well backed at Killarney last month and only found one too good, can run on into second again.

2nd: Easy Game (1)
Ireland’s master trainer Willie Mullins saddles two of the four runners in the Kerry Group Chase, and both should fill the first two places. Saint Sam looked hugely progressive when routing the opposition at Galway when last seen, and although this is tougher, he will be hard to beat. His stablemate, Easy Game, who won this race the last two years running, might just find his friend too good on the day but should fill the runner up berth.
